ELECTRICAL FORESTER LABOURER
FT/PT Position: 2 Short-term Contract Positions (5.5 kilometers – project paid upon completion)
Location: Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation, ON
Reports To: Council Portfolio Holder

Summary: The Electrical Forester Labourer will be responsible for clearing trees and brush from electrical lines and rights-of-way in Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation.
Duties:
Manual removal and clean-up of trees and brush on the identified electrical transmission line and distribution rights-of-way using chain saws and brush saws.
Operate all equipment and tools in a safe manner.
Adhere to all applicable WLON policies and procedures.
Other applicable duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must possess experience using chain saws and brush saws.
Possession of a chainsaw certification an asset.
Must operate all equipment and tools in a safe manner.
Must provide own personal protective equipment, which includes steel toe boots, gloves, pants, helmet, and safety glasses.
Must be able to work effectively as a team member.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must be willing and able to work outdoors and in inclement weather, including rain, snow, wind, and heat.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to meet applicable deadlines.
Must be reliable.
