ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / RECEPTIONIST
FT/PT Position: 1 Full-time Term Position
Location: Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation, Business Centre
Reports To: Dir of Lands and Resources
Rate of Pay: Based on qualifications and experience

Summary: The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist provides minor administrative support services for the Resources and Environment departments as well as Receptionist services for the Business Centre occupants. The Administrative Assistant /Receptionist welcomes and greets all staff, guests, and outside agencies. Maintains the office equipment, and helps to ensure effective communication in the Small Business Centre.
Duties:
•Communicate with staff, guests, and outside agencies in a respectful and professional manner.
•Provide general secretarial and administrative support including faxing, copying, scanning, e-mailing, filing, record keeping, and shredding.
•Answer telephones, screen and direct calls, and take and relay messages and provide general information to callers.
•Greet people entering the building and direct to appropriate staff.
•Receive and sort mail, e-mails, and deliveries.
•Monitor, operate, and maintain office equipment, such as filling the copier, ordering paper, etc.
•Tidy and maintain the reception and all Business Centre common areas.
•Monitor visitors access and maintain security awareness by securing building at the end of the day.
•Assist with collection of timesheets and general correspondence.
•Manage and maintain the Time-in, Time-out logbook.
•Attend and successfully complete any required or requested training as requested.
•Work as part of a team, including attending staff meetings as required or requested.
•Other relevant job duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
•Completion of Grade 12 diploma / G.E.D. or equivalent is an asset.
•Proficient with computers and software applications such as Microsoft Office.
•Valid Full class G drivers license is an asset.
•Must be able to work unsupervised and take initiative.
•Must have good attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to follow direction.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Must be able to submit to workplace drug testing.
