Community Wellness
The Community Wellness Worker provides family violence prevention services, referrals and support to the members of Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation. CWW services are for members living on the Wabigoon Lake First Nation to promote the healing and wellness of the Community. The CWW is to provide prevention and awareness activities as well as work together with health and social services agencies to present workshops and support services that prevent family violence and promote the well-being of the membership of Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation. Some of the responsibilities of the CWW are to organize healing circles, educate members on family violence, and have some focus on traditional based activities. You are encouraged to participate in the following simple survey which requests input from the Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation membership about which programs, services, and support they would like to see from the Community Wellness Worker. All Wabigoon Lake Membership are welcome to come speak directly to Candace Esquega, the Community Wellness Worker at the Band Office, or contact by telephone or e-mail in the information provided below.
